WHEN GOD SPEAKS DON’T LISTEN TO PEOPLE!

When God speaks don’t listen to people! Our purpose is to please God, not people. The worst thing you can do in any situation is to allow people or your circumstances to add, re-direct, change or override what God said with their excuses, explanations, opinions and preferences. Just think about it for a moment. If God has spoken DIRECTLY & CLEARLY to you with precise instructions and promises, why would He then go to a stranger, and tell them to give you different instructions??? Paul bluntly made this powerful statement: Even if we or an angel from heaven should come to you with any other message than the one that was preached to you, let them be under God’s curse! [Galatians 1:8]

Until you see God's word over your life become physical… you must learn how to keep faith, persevere in that faith and stand firm on the Word of God He has already given you. We are at a time where people need to know and recognize the voice of God above every other voice that is able to speak in their world. Too many Christians have grown hard of hearing, weak in discernment and easily misled. They cannot recognize the pure voice of God anymore because they’ve given too much of their ears to things not of God.

In so many Christians' modern lifestyle and comfort directed faith they’ve turned to fast food Christianity, easy compromises, comfortable lukewarm excuses and social media church while forsaking true worship, fervent prayer, real encounters, deep bible study and generous intimacy. When God speaks, they hear but are not convinced to remain in steadfast obedience and persevering faith. For this reason, many are easily persuaded to give heed to the temptations of counter proposals and challenges from what God said. Remember Eve and the snake in the garden. Beware of voices saying we have new and better interpretations and revelations God has not told you about, but He has given us special insights to decide what He said differently. Trust us to lead you somewhere else other than where God has always spoken to you. I warn you… Be VERY CAREFUL who you listen to if you want to live in the blessings and overflow of the Lord – not everybody who claims they are of God, are of God! I these last days many deceivers and practitioners of witchcraft are not in dark covens under cities, but wolves dressed up as sheep hiding in plain sight among us looking who they can convince to believe ANOTHER message, instruction and vision than the one God gave. Who can they get to abort their prophesy, their revival and their God designed destiny.

Father, help us to recognize the fake from the real; give us discernment like never before! Help us to know you better than any man, devil or even angel.. Help us to never be confused or convinced by the unction’s of another. “Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it’” [Isaiah 30:21]. “His sheep follow him because they know his voice. A stranger will they not follow but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.” [John 10:4-5]. 

Peter and John famously stated, "We must obey God rather than men!" [Acts 5:29], because men do not always carry the untainted heart of God. It must be absolutely unnegotiable that you would listen FIRST for the voice, instruction and direction of the Lord. It is as important that you commit, follow and obey that voice irrespective of what people say. Most people are not bad, but they are commonly driven by their flesh, what they want and not what the Lord wants for YOU!!! A driven person will often approach others with praise, affirmations, criticism, opinions, judgements and agendas shaped unknowingly to suit their expected outcome, their needs and their desired future. People have a natural self-centered desire to manipulate, influence and persuade others to join them in their crusades, sign up for their vision and make their worlds more comfortable for them. You must recognize that. Even good people can be motivated by impure goals. Sometimes other people will align with your direction, and everyone is happy, but if the Lord said something else it would be pure foolishness to follow people rather than what the Lord said.

I have seen so many lose or delay by years their way, blessings, peace, anointings and even REVIVALS because they listened to men when they should’ve keep following the WORD God has already given them. STAY THE COURSE GOD OUT YOU ON IRRESPECTIVE OF HOW MANY STORMS YOU FACE OR HOW SCARY THEY MAY APPEAR! Let me tell you no difficulty, obstacle, demonic attack, trail, test or problem is big enough or powerful enough to override God’s promise and prophesy over you UNLESS you choose to partner with it. If your YES belongs to God NEVER give or lend it to anyone or anything else. It is too costly!

You do not need permission from man to do God’s will. When it comes to the best for your life… stop seeking human approval and trust what God said. “Am I trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.” [Galatians 1:10] We speak, not as if we were trying to please people to gain power and popularity, but to please God who examines our hearts expecting our best. [1 Thessalonians 2:4] The Greek word areskó is often transliterated to the English word please. It meaning is: “to agree to satisfy another in order to win their approval, affection, or attention; to meet their expectations; to willingly serve another’s desires.” Now, of course, if what person’s desires are in line with God’s will, that’s awesome.

Here is the big thing:…

It is not as much about being right or wrong as it is about being pleasing to the Lord! You were not born to please people… and YOU WILL NEVER TOTALLY PLEASE PEOPLE. It is not possible. Those who come to judge and criticize want to be pleased with you but unfortunately, they are predisposed in their hearts that nobody will ever be good enough, repentant enough or holy enough for their expectations. Pleasing man is never achievable. BUT, the bible tells us YOU CAN FULLY PLEASE THE LORD!... and when He is pleased, life can go very well for you.

The bible says it is impossible to please God without one key element in our life: faith … without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. (Hebrews 11:6). Every blessing flowing from the atonement of Jesus Christ comes via the avenue of faith.

So how do we know God is pleased with us? We live by that faith and in that faith. That means that we believe God, trust His character, obey His instructions, follow through with our devotion and keep seeking Him in fullness of the belief that He who promised is ALWAYS faithful to complete what He starts. This is why Paul could pray:  “I pray that the eyes of your hearts may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe.” [Ephesians 1:18-19]

It is time to push through the crowd and fix your all on the ONE who has it all!

Today, Lord, help is to love and serve people but never put them above You. God help us to be free from the pressures of trying to please and keep people happy and replace it with the freedom, rest, reward and pleasure of being of truly knowing You, being obedient and pleasing to You… and You alone!

Thank you for the cross that takes away our impossibles and makes them possible!

Thank you, Lord, that every WORD You’ve given us carries Your YES & AMEN, is powerful to completion and will achieve everything You determined for it to achieve when You spoke it. Help us to hear and remember every WORD and never trade, lend, sell or give it away to any other voice. We believe you Lord! In Jesus name we believe every Word that passes Your mouth.
