  • When last did you put everything else to the side and just waited and listened for God? Have you ever wondered why you’re feeling stuck, aimless, powerless and confused?

You’re stuck halfway between Ascension and Pentecost!

It's time to draw into unity, prayer and faith!

Last Thursday was Ascension Day and this Sunday will be Pentecost. How sad it is that many Christians have been so pre-occupied that they didn't even realize that.

When last did you make room in the upper room for Jesus?

Could it be that you’re not even in the upper room?

This morning, I heard Holy Spirit say to me: We are halfway between Ascension and Pentecost, but many of My people are not anywhere near unity, waiting and listening. Many are not even in the room. Where are My people? What are they doing? What is more important than drawing aside in this moment and hearing what I want to say and do? Do they not know this is for them? I am calling them together for their benefit?

He said to them: “It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight. They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.” Then the apostles returned to Jerusalem [Acts 1:7-12]

You’re halfway between Ascension and Pentecost!

Halfway is not enough. Halfway is where lukewarm lives. This was about the time when most of the ones who heard Jesus say: ‘Go wait, stay together and do not depart from there until I say you can leave!’… decided they had other pressing matters to attend to. So, they ignored the command of Jesus and left anyway. This is where 500 went down to 120. This is where the samplers gave way to the hungry. The together gives way to convenience. This is where People's WAY hijacks God's WAY; and their priorities overtake His priorities.

Funny how just before every major move of God there is a sifting and a falling away. Why? Because this is where loyalty, faithfulness and obedience are tested. This is where the desire for revival and the commitment to revival are weighed. This is where direction, vision and purpose are meant to be refreshed and empowered. Without it people drift from place to place, church to church, hype to hype... Smelling revival and an outpouring from heaven but never tasting it!

The truth of the story was that it was a command that came with a promise for those who obeyed. God did not wait for a time when all 500 could make it. Most missed the UPPER ROOM SUDDENLY because they either thought it was far off, or believed it would not happen, had a better plan than God's or plainly did not care that they were disobeying a direct instruction for God.

I call you to make room, wait and listen. Be sure you use these 10 days of gathering, waiting, humbling, to renew your commitment to ‘DO WHATEVER JESUS COMMANDS’! Fast if you must but bring your flesh and pride in order!

Are you where you want to be or where God told you to be?

What are you believing today between Ascension and Pentecost that will have you believe you do not need to be where Jesus told you to be?

If you can’t wait and listen now… what will you be missing?... what are you already missing?

Jesus is coming back again… DO YOU BELIEVE IT?

Revival is coming… DO YOU BELIEVE IT?
