YOU ARE HEALED… Symptoms are to sickness what temptations are to sin! Faith Over Symptoms: Standing in the Victory Already Won

Symptoms are to sickness what temptations are to sin. They may appear real, feel persuasive, and demand your attention—but they do not have to define your outcome.

So much of the battle is won or lost in the mind. If you see yourself as the sick person trying desperately to become healed, you will often live from a place of fear, striving, and uncertainty. But when you begin to see yourself through the finished work of Christ—as one who has been healed and is resisting sickness—your posture changes completely.

You are not fighting for victory. You are fighting from victory.

That shift matters. It brings confidence where there was anxiety, peace where there was panic, and rest where there was exhaustion. Faith rises when you understand that healing is not something God is reluctant to give, but something Christ has already secured.

Temptation does not equal defeat. Just because temptation appears does not mean sin must follow. In the same way, just because symptoms appear does not mean sickness has the final word.

Hebrews 4:15 reminds us that Jesus was tempted in every way, yet remained without sin. He faced what was real and present, but He did not surrender to it. He recognized temptation and rejected it.

Likewise, symptoms can try to lure your faith into agreement with fear. Every ache, pain, niggle, mark, sensation, or troubling thought can whisper that something serious is wrong. But not every symptom is a prophecy. Not every discomfort is a destiny.

Faith begins with revelation: you are healed, whole, and restored in Christ.

From that place, you can reject symptoms as unwelcome intruders rather than accept them as permanent residents.

Stand on what Christ has secured. This is not a battle you enter uncertain of the result. Jesus has already won. He personally carried our sins in His body on the cross willingly offering Himself on it, as on an altar of sacrifice, so that we might die to sin becoming immune from the penalty and power of sin and live for righteousness; for by His wounds you who believe have been healed. [1 Peter 2:24]

Stay standing. Reject every symptom that rises against the promises of God over your life, your health, and your family. Christ overcame, and because you belong to Him, His victory is your victory.

The psalmist declares:

“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases.” [Psalm 103:2–3]

And Peter writes:

“He personally carried our sins in His body on the cross... so that we might die to sin and live for righteousness; by His wounds you have been healed.” [1 Peter 2:24]

Know what has been secured for you, and live in that truth. Should Satan tempt us or try to put fear, sickness or disease upon us, we can simply laugh at him because we know what the Word of God says. Jesus took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses. [Matthew 8:17] The cross was enough then, and it is enough now.

Pray in Agreement With God

Faith grows when we come into agreement with what God has spoken.

Pray like this:

Father, if Your Word says I was healed, then I choose to agree with You. By Jesus’ stripes I was healed. I reject every temptation, fear, symptom, and lying thought that tries to rise against Your truth. Even if I see it or feel it in my body I will continue to declare that I am healed, whole, and restored in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Final Encouragement

Do not let symptoms speak louder than Scripture. Do not let feelings overrule faith. What Christ has spoken over your life is greater than what your body or mind may try to report in the moment.

Stand firm. Stay hopeful. Rest in His promises.
